Backward Class Welfare :-Portal for Backward class Welfare Department Government of West Bengal.  :-Portal For SC,ST, Development and finance  Related issue.   : -Online Certificate portal for SC/ST and other Backward classes of West Bengal. :-West Bengal Tribal Development Co-operative Corporation Ltd.(WBTDCC Ltd.), as the Apex Body of LAMPS, was formed and registered on 26-03-1976. However, the W.B.T.D.C.C.Ltd. started proper functioning from 1978. Prior to the functioning of WBTDCC Ltd. the LAMPS were registered and supervised by the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies of concerned ranges.

Farmers' Corner :-  Krishi Vigyan Kendras in West Bengal.  : -The Sech Bandhu Prakalpa is a farmer-friendly project offering 46,000 new pump sets with power connectivity to farmers to boost irrigation in the state. This would help the farmers in a big way and keep them away from illegal power consumption. As a result, it would also reduce power theft and improve regularized power supply in rural Bengal. :-For agriculture related information. :- State Agricultural Technologists' Service Association (SATSA, WB) is the premier Organization of Agricultural Technologists serving under the aegis of the State Department of Agriculture, Govt. of West Bengal since 1951. :- Under Learning and Capacity Building program of NAIP, several UG level interactive & multimedia e-Courseware contents in seven discipline viz. Agricultural Science; Fisheries Science; Dairy Science; Veterinary and Animal Husbandary; Horticulture; Home Science and Agricultural Engineering have been developed at SAUs and other organisations. This portal provides 24/7 services for online access to all the teachers and students learners in the field of agricultural education. :- mKisan SMS Portal for farmers enables all central and State government organizations in agriculture and allied sectors to give information/services/advisories to farmers by SMS in their language, preference of agricultural practices and location. :- Hortnet :-One Stop Shop For Farmers. :- A Centrally Sponsored Scheme of MIDH has been launched for the holistic development of horticulture in the country during XII plan. The scheme, which has taken take off from 2014-15, integrates the ongoing schemes of National Horticulture Mission, Horticulture Mission for North East & Himalayan States, National Bamboo Mission, National Horticulture Board, Coconut Development Board and Central Institute for Horticulture, Nagaland. :- Directorate of Economics And Statistics, :- Farmer Registration :- The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is an autonomous organisation under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare , Government of India. Formerly known as Imperial Council of Agricultural Research, it was established on 16 July 1929 as a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 in pursuance of the report of the Royal Commission on Agriculture. The ICAR has its headquarters at New Delhi. :- The first KVK was established in 1974 at Puducherry. The number of KVKs has risen to 645 and 106 more KVKs are to be established in the newly created districts and some larger districts. The KVK scheme is 100% financed by Govt. of India and the KVKs are sanctioned to Agricultural Universities, ICAR institutes, related Government Departments and Non Government Organizations (NGOs) working in Agriculture. :- The EMS is Web enabled online monitoring system for Monthly Progress Report (MPR) under ATMA Programme. All the components of this scheme would be monitored for Physical and Financial progress. The states have to login by choosing their State and Password for State level and for District level State and District and District password.For Sameti, State and district as Sameti for which targets and Performance are to be entered. State level can enter Targets and performance for all their districts by entering the State level password and choosing the district. :- “National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture(NMSA) will be implemented during 12th Plan with the objectives to make agriculture more productive, sustainable and climate resilient; to conserve natural resources; to adopt comprehensive soil health management practices; to optimize utilization of water resources; etc. “Soil Health Management (SHM) is one of the most important interventions under NMSA.SHM aims at promoting Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) through judicious use of chemical fertilisers including secondary and micro nutrients in conjunction with organic manures and bio-fertilisers for improving soil health and its productivity; strengthening of soil and fertiliser testing facilities to provide soil test based recommendations to farmers for improving soil fertility; ensuring quality control requirements of fertilisers, bio-fertilisers and organic fertilisers under Fertiliser Control Order, 1985; upgradation of skill and knowledge of soil testing laboratory staff, extension staff and farmers through training and demonstrations; promoting organic farming practices etc. :- Weather forecast. :- National Agriculture Market (NAM) is a pan-India electronic trading portal which networks the existing APMC mandis to create a unified national market for agricultural commodities. :- National Initiative for information on quality seeds. :- Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY)is a new crop insurance scheme launched by the government which is aimed to take forward the crop insurance scheme that was present. It will make it easier for the farmers to avail crop insurance and coverage. It has been approved by the Union cabinet in January 2016 and I all set to be in effect from June, 2016, which also happens to be the Kharif season. :-Farm mechanization is an important element of modernization of agriculture. Farm Productivity is positively correlated with the availability of farm power coupled with efficient farm implements and their judicious utilization. Agricultural mechanization not only enables efficient utilization of various inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, plant protection chemicals and water for irrigation but also it helps in poverty alleviation by making farming an attractive enterprise. The Department of Agriculture and Cooperation is following multi-pronged strategy for promoting Farm Mechanization :- Responsible for national policies and programmes aimed at achieving agricultural growth. Part of the Ministry of Agriculture. :- The National Development Council (NDC), in its meeting held on 29th May, 2007 resolved that a special Additional Central Assistance Scheme (RKVY) be launched. The NDC resolved that agricultural development strategies must be reoriented to meet the needs of farmers and called upon the Central and State governments to evolve a strategy to rejuvenate agriculture. The NDC reaffirmed its commitment to achieve 4 per cent annual growth in the agricultural sector during the 11th plan :- The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (AH&D) - now renamed as Department of Animal Husbandry Dairying & Fisheries (DADF) is one of the Departments in the Ministry of Agriculture and came into existence w.e.f. 1st February, 1991, by converting two divisions of the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation namely Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development into a separate Department. The Fisheries Division of the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation and a part of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries were later transferred to this Department w.e.f. 10th October, 1997.

Motivational corner

  Madhur Sneha:- :-The Hon'ble Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee launched the Eastern India's first and country's most modernized "Human Milk Bank" in SSKM Hospital in August 2013. It is equipped with pasteurization and most advanced milk collection, screening, processing, testing and storage facilities. The project is named "Madhur Sneha".Babies who are prematurely born, or are of very low birth weight, or those babies whose mothers are unable to feed directly can be recipients of banked milk from "Madhur Sneha".
  Karmashree:- :-Karmashree is a combination of several other schemes under the Labour department. People who work for 20 days in a project, will be given work for another 20 days in another project," Addressing a rally, Hon'ble Chief Minister said, "Dignity of labour must be respected. No job is inferior.". The government would train 10 lakh youths for skill development, through 500 Karma Tirtha marketing hubs, where poor people would get shops free of cost, that were being set up in the state.
  Karmatirtha:- :-With a view to promote sustainable entrepreneurship and generate employment, the West Bengal government has set up  ‘Karmatirtha' — a one-stop shop allowing entrepreneurs to market their products directly to buyers. ‘Karmatirtha' is a scheme to strike a synergy between the abundance of natural resources and the availability of a skilled workforce and thereby move toward sustainable entrepreneurship. The State government will be providing the requisite infrastructure support including training and finance, allowing individuals, self-help groups, co-operative enterprises, artisans, and weavers to avail of the benefits of the scheme. The objective is to set up at least one  ‘Karmatirtha' in every block of the State.
  Lokprasar Prakalpo:- :-A new project under the title 'Lokprasar Prakalpo' has been introduced at the initiative of the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs and at the directive of Hon'ble Chief Minister. The main objectives of the project are - (I) to bestow dignity on folk artistes as such by issuing them identity cards, (2) to extend and disseminate the traditional folk forms of Bengal, (3) to revive the nearly-extinct folk-forms of art and culture and (4) to upgrade the socio economic conditions of artists associated with folk culture.

Student corner

  Sabooj Sathi:-  :- Government of West Bengal has declared a scheme titled “Sabooj Sathi” for distribution of bi-cycles to the students of class IX to XII in all Govt. run/ Govt. aided/ Govt. sponsored schools. Students of Class X to XII. Objective of the scheme is to encourage students in higher education and to reduce drop outs.
  Scholarship to SC, ST and OBC Student:-  -Online application portal for Scholarship to SC, ST and OBC Student in West Bengal.
  Shikshashree:- :-Formerly day-scholar students of class V-VIII belonging to Scheduled Caste category enjoyed two grants namely a) assistance in the form of book grant and b) assistance in the form of maintenance grant. The amount of such grants was meagre and did not serve the intended purpose. Further the method of selection of candidates and that of disbursements is cumbersome and time consuming.In order to do away with these predicaments inherent in the scheme and to provide quality assistance to SC students of Classes V to VIII in a smooth, transparent and efficient way, a new scheme of providing assistance to the target group is being formulated in the name of ‘Shikshashree'. ‘Shikshashree' scheme of providing assistance to SC day-scholars of Class V-VIII is evolved by merging the existing schemes of Book Grant and Maintenance Grant. It is applicable to the day scholars of West Bengal reading in class V-VIII in any Government, Government-aided and all Government recognized schools of West Bengal.The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the SC students reading in classes V to VIII to improve their participation in Pre-matric stages and minimize the incidence of drop-out especially in case of girl students.


  Anandadhara:- :-The major strategic interventions of Anandadhara is universal social mobilization, forming and strengthening of SHGs and their networks, capacity building, financial inclusion, access to credit, skill development and taking up different livelihoods options supported with provisions of technological as well as marketing support
  GATIDHARA :- :-GATIDHARA is a scheme introduced to inspire youth of West Bengal to explore the potentialities in transport sector by owning or operating small /medium vehicles. The objective of the scheme is to generate Self Employment in the Urban and Rural areas of the State by providing financial assistance to the enrolled job-seekers of Employment Bank. The project cost should not exceed Rs 10 lakh and the government subsidy will be not more than Rs 1 lakh.

Special Projects

  Geetanjali & Amar Thikana :-  :-With a view to provide proper shelters, free of cost, to the poor, the Government in Housing Department has laid proper focus on construction of houses for the Economically Weaker Section of people.  This scheme is being implemented in rural areas by 6(Six) Departments, viz. , a)Minority Affairs & Madrasah Education Department, b) Backward Classes Welfare Department, c) Fisheries Department, d) Forest Department, e) Sundarban Affairs Department and f) Paschimanchal Unnayan Affairs Department and non-Municipal urban areas by statutory organizations viz. WBHB, WBHIDCO etc. under the name of ‘Geetanjali' and ‘Amar Thikana' in rural area is being implemented by P& RD Department.
  Sarba Griha Deep Prakalpa":- :-The State Government announced the ‘universal electrification' of households namely "Sarba Griha Deep Prakalpa" (Sabar Ghare Alo) under Special BRGF scheme to achieve 100% household electrification in 11 backward districts of West Bengal namely Dakshin Dinajpur, Malda, Murshidabad, Birbhum, South 24-Parganas, Uttar Dinajpur, Purulia, Paschim Medinipur, Jalpaiguri, Purba Medinipur and Bankura. An amount of Rs. 837 Crores has been received for this purpose up to 31st March 2013. This project's execution started in July 2012 and was likely to be completed within two years. Under this project 28214 villages, 21 lakh BPL households and 17 lakh APL households are likely to be electrified.
  Jal Dharo Jal Bharo :- :-A programme named "Jal Dharo-Jal Bharo" was launched during 2011-12 with the aim on preserving precious water resources by large scale harvesting of rain water as well as arresting runoff of surface water to improve and availability of precious water resources through the construction and management of Minor Irrigation structures.
  Samajik Mukti:-  :-The government issued 'Samajik Mukti' (Social Freedom) cards to unorganised sector workers of the State for Provident Fund & Other Social Benefit scheme. "The name of this card will be Samajik Mukti card. It will be distributed from April. This will provide you the oxygen to live," the chief minister said at the announcement of this scheme in front of a gathering of workers of the unorganized sector. Initially 25 lakhs beneficiaries will be given the card under State assisted scheme of Provident Fund for Unorganized Workers (SASPFUW). Finally, the cards will be distributed to disburse benefits under three schemes of State government namely: i) State assisted scheme of Provident Fund for Unorganized Workers (SASPFUW) ii) Buildings and other Construction workers' welfare scheme iii) Motor Transport workers' welfare scheme. The objective of the project is to realize following objectives: i) Bringing maximum number of Workers under the welfare schemes ii) Smooth and Speedy delivery of Welfare benefits under the three schemes iii) Effective and Transparent management and utilization of the funds available.
  Nijo-griha Nijo-bhumi:- :-Nijo Griha Nijo Bhumi Prakalpo was launched on 18th October, 2011 by the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Govt. of West Bengal for providing 5 decimal of land to each identified eligible beneficiary family i.e. to all landless homesteadless agricultural labourers, village artisans and fishermen in rural areas.
  Pratyasha:- :-The Govt. of West Bengal has undertaken a housing project named " PRATYASHA" for Police Personnel (from Inspectors to Constables) working in the West Bengal Police to materialize their dreams of owning houses. The West Bengal State Police Housing Corporation will construct various types of flats with the financial assistance of HUDCO and all Police Personnel would be welcome to fill in forms for their required housing assistance.  
  Pathasathi:- :-With a view to to pay attention to the sufferings of the people, especially the Women, deprived of any toilet facility while on their journey by road, which is the minimum requirement of a civilised society the present Government is constructing "PATHASATHI (consisting of Pay & use toilet, Waiting room, Night shelter and Restaurant under one roof) at every 50 K.m. of National Highway, State Highway and Other important roads throughout the State. 31 (Thirty one) nos. of such "PATHASATHI" are being constructed by this Department and these are in different stages of construction. Out of 31 nos., with the Financial Assistance of Housing Department, Public Works Department is constructing 12(Twelve) nos. at an estimated cost Rs. 6.5088 Cr. Rest 19(Nineteen) nos. Are being constructed by the Housing Directorate at an estimated cost Rs. 37.31 Cr. 
  Nirmal Bangla:- :-Nirmal Bangla is a mission to eliminate open defecation from the rural landscape of the state. It is the state counterpart of the national Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan. The mission aims at constructing latrines in households, especially in the uncovered households in the rural areas to ensure zero defecation in the open. This scheme will ensure a sufficient number of functional toilets in educational institutions, regular intervals on the road, public places, etc. The scheme also aims at spreading awareness and increasing sensitization toward safe hygiene behaviour and safe disposal methods.
  Shilpa Sathi:- :-Investors need to submit an array of application forms to different government departments to get relevant licenses and registrations according to existing procedures. It often resulted in un-necessary delays due to lack of  inter-departmental  co-ordination. With a view to assist the investors in setting up industries in West Bengal, the Government of West Bengal has launched Shilpa Sathi where an investor can submit a Common Application Form in the Single Window Cell at WBIDC.
  Sishu Saathi:- :-'Sishu Saathi' scheme is a brain child of the Chief Minister of West Bengal with a promise to provide free treatment to children who need heart surgeries, irrespective of how rich or poor the parents are.
  Sufal Bangla:-  :- "Sufal Bangla" an initiative of the Govt of West Bengal under Inspiration and guidance of the Hon'ble Chief Minister Mamata Bannerjee, has been launched for the benefit of the people to ensure fresh vegetables at reasonable price at the their door step. :-West Bengal Kendu Leaves Collectors Social Security Scheme
